Recommendations:

In this link, you must select the mode for admission (The GRE revised General Test or Uniandes Test).

 Print the payment voucher. 

 You should have the following documents:

 An authenticated photocopy of the original diploma (undergraduate degree).

 Curriculum vitae.

 Print the application form that you sent via the web.

 Official transcript of your university studies with original signatures and authentic stamps or with an authenticated signature.

 Proof of payment of the registration fee.

 Photocopy of the identity card.

 Two recent photographs on white background, (3X4 cm).

Two letters of recommendation (format 1: PDF , DOCX ) accompanied by a written consent of the applicant (format 2: PDF , DOCX ). These letters of recommendation should preferably be filled by professors, advisors or heads of research projects. Both forms must be submitted in a sealed envelope.

 Statement of purpose for the program that you have chosen and the research area that you want, if applicable.

Entrance Exam

Applicants for Master's programs of the Engineering Faculty must meet one of the following admission requirements:

 Uniandes Test, this test seeks to evaluate mathematical ability, abstract reasoning, and reading comprehension.

You have to take the exam at La universidad de los Andes. Refer to Calendar used for scheduling of test dates.

International admission: The GRE revised General Test. GRE (Graduate Record Examination). The GRE revised General Test measures your verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills — skills that have been developed over a long period of time and are not related to a specific field of study but are important for all. Attach report of GRE scores.

 The result of GRE must be maximum two years old.

 

Language requirement

Students of specialization should NOT comply language requirements. However, if at the time of application for admission you have the TOEFL or IELTS scores (Score / grade validity 2 years). It is desirable to include these scores in the documents submitted.

If you are coming from outside Colombia, we hereby inform you that Visas are issued by the government of Colombia. Therefore, you must have a valid student visa or other visa that allows you to study, which must be submitted to the Admissions and Registrars Office (ventanillas 2 and/or 3) or you must send a copy to extranjerosuniandes@uniandes.edu.co, in order to fulfill this requirement before printing the tuition bill.  

Although visas are generally issued within a few business days, getting the proper paperwork together for your visa application can take time, so we encourage you to get started as soon as possible  in order to avoid problems associated with the payment and the enrollment process.
