Sustentación de propuesta doctoral: Towards an SDN/NFV Secure Network Operating System

Invitamos a nuestra comunidad a la sustentación de la propuesta de tesis doctoral "Towards an SDN/NFV Secure Network Operating System" de nuestro estudiante Andrés Felipe Murillo, el próximo 5 de julio a las 4:30pm.

Towards an SDN/NFV Secure Network Operating System

Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) improve network capabilities by enabling the development of software for networking services that meet specific customers requirements. These SDN and NFV applications manipulate shared network resources, and their misconfiguration or misbehavior can create a variety of security issues and violate application policies. In this proposal we argue that this environment has similar security challenges to those of modern operating systems. We propose that the design of secure architectures for SDN/NFV benefits from analyzing and applying the best practices and elements, such as mandatory access control and reference monitors, of secure operating systems.
