The Systems and Computing Engineering Department at Los Andes University is looking for a Professor in the area of Computing and Network Infrastructures and Security.

Required qualifications for the position include an earned Ph.D., at the time of hire, with ample knowledge in computing and network infrastructures (e.g., Operating Systems and Communication Networks) and Security, evidence of research activities, and a strong interest in advising and teaching students both at graduate and undergraduate levels. The new Professor will have internal funding from the University to initiate his/her research plan.

Our department has one undergraduate program, seven master programs and a doctoral program. The Department has ABET accredited program in Systems and Computing Engineering and High Quality accreditation from the Minister of Education in Colombia. According to The Best Global Universities Ranking by US News & World Report (2018), Universidad de Los Andes is the first university in Colombia and is 7 in Latin America. The University offers compensation for 12-months, awards according to performance and flexible benefits related to childcare, health, and assurances, among others.
